B-17G 105-VE 44-85778 rolled off the assembly line in Burbank, CA on June 4, 1945. With a quick tour with the CAC for Air Rescue Services before her 19 years as a fire bomber before finding her home at the Palm Springs Air Museum in Palm Springs, CA.
